It drives big. its block is big. It has dodge stratus seats. 2 out of 3 a in’ t bad. Its a 68 newport custom a friend bought. Supposedly a 4 barrel 383, but upon closer inspection it is a later 400 engine. Runs and drives very well. It is not fast. I came over to see it and ended up shining up some of the chrome and then taking out to the wash just cause I wanted to see it clean.

Nice! Growing up, our next door neighbor had a green New Yorker, 4 door hardtop, same year as that Newport.
He eventually traded it for a diesel Rabbit during the late 70s gas crunch.

No, I’ve driven bigger. M y biggest was 17 foot 6, This is 18 feet, my friend Larry’s 71 Meteor Montcalm is 18 foot 6, so they come bigger, but not by much.

You might even say that Chrysler is as big as a whale and that it’s about to set sail.

Nice. I have a soft spot for big Chrysler of that era, maybe just because they’re seen a lot less often on the classic car circuits.

It is a very stylish car, All my pics are pre-cleaning and have people/plates in them. The dash is a very clean design from the era right before detroit got whacky with the woodgrain. I am going to Borrow this car for an afternoon in the near future.
